The Portugese Grand Prix at Boavista was replaced with the Argentine Grand Prix at Buenos Aries due to the street track of Boavista being deemed unsafe by the FIA and a hazard to drivers.

Teams and Drivers[edit | edit source]

BRM entered the championship as a constructor following a successful run in Formula 1.
