2012-13 Champions.jpg The 2012-13 FIA Elite Racing League season was the 2nd season of FIA Elite Racing League motor racing. It featured the 2nd FIA Elite Racing League Drivers and Teams Championship which began on 16 September 2012 and ended on 5 May 2013 after eighteen races. The Drivers' Championship was won by Andrew King of McLaren-Mercedes. King's teammate Taylor Anderson finished runner-up, matching Ferrari's 1-2 from the previous season, Only 2 points behind. Whilst Renault's Matthew Flaherty finished 3rd, 9 points behind Anderson. The Teams' Championship was won by McLaren-Mercedes. And in an ERL first: Ferrari and Renault finished JOINT Second with 138 points. However because Ferrari are first alphabetically the FIA gave second to Ferrari and third for Renault.

Driver and Team Changes[edit | edit source]

- Sam Wray moved from McLaren to partner Josh Smith at Toyota because of the departure of Aiden Clelland

- Due to Sam's departure from McLaren, they hired Canadian YouTuber Andrew King who had previously expressed interest in competing in the series.

- Red Bull entered the series as a Team and not just a sponsor (hense the change on the table from a British flag to an Austrian flag)
