The 2013 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 65th Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme Road racing World Championship season. Casey Stoner (who left MotoGP after the real life 2012 season) stayed for one more season in the universe to try and reclaim his championship and he did so on his Respol Honda bike, Valentino Rossi finished 2nd finishing 27 points behind Stoner whilst Rossi's teammate Jorge Lorenzo finished 3rd a further 4 points behind Rossi and 31 points behind Stoner. In the Constructors Championship, Honda captured the constructors championship at the second to last race which was the Indianapolis Grand Prix and when the chequered flag fell in Qatar they finished with 296 points, Yamaha finished 2nd with 268 points (28 points behind Honda) whilst in a pretty poor performing season Ducati finished 3rd with only 176 points. This season also marked future world champion Marc Marquez's MotoGP debut.
