In 2021 Beardmore chose to have the car number 22. Reasons behind this is because Beardmore in his younger years looked at the sporting legend Jenson Button as his Motorsport Idol. He looks to live up to this name and hopefully prove to the people of the world he can be just as good and if so better. Since coming into Formula One at the age of 21, He has been in coalition with Lewis Hamilton with the Mercedes Formula One Team. In his first season on-board of the new team he has won the Driver's Championship & Constructors Championship. Joshua Beardmore only managed to pull of one Pole Position this year in Formula One baring the fact he won both Championships. He would class this as a successful season. He also pulled of 6 Fastest Laps & 6 Race Wins. He has set many records of his Rookie Season. In the history of Formula One no one in their rookie season managed to pull more than 4 race wins. Joshua Beardmore has set this record and has placed his position in the top spot. Altogether that's 4 records broken in one season in Formula One. This is only the start of his Career. Throughout 75% of the season Joshua Beardmore was in premium top position. His main rivals who were all too close to winning the 2021 season were his team-mate Lewis Hamilton, but mainly the fellow Ferrari Driver at the time Kyle Macleod. 2022 was a very rough and rocky season for Beardmore, It was his first season where he felt like he had to go to another level of his driver ability to achieve. The season started off extremely well for Beardmore in his first two races the Reigning Champion won two off the mark. At this point early in the season, the fans and drivers thought he is going to be in a great chance to win Two Championships in a row and no other Rookie has ever achieved that goal, but that wasn't the case. Beardmore struggled from the Chinese Grand Prix onwards. Beardmore went 5 Races without winning a single race. Didn't help that reliability issues played their part in the French Grand Prix which had the driver retiring from the race. At this point the history in the making drivers dreams were unfolding and showed Beardmore the tough fact of how Formula One Works. Although he didn't give up and still raced for his life. It then came to his Home Grand Prix. This was a turning point in the season for Beardmore because of all the bad luck he had in the past 5 races, when he came home he came out with a Win. Well that's what he thought. Unfortunatley once it came to Hungary he only managed to finish 8th due to extreme weather problems and the amount of insidents that took place, But he did however win Belgium the race after, but once again the bad luck that clouded Beardmore returned and had to retire from one of the most important races of the season Italy. Kyle Macleod was well underway at this point and looked like he will clear out and win the championship. After his retirement all the way up to Brazil it was constant podiums for Mr.Beardmore he managed to close up the gap to Kyle Macleod, and made sure he wouldn't walk away with it cleanly. The Championship came to the final race, the rivalry with Macleod spiced up and each driver was at each others throats, Beardmore wanted to win it badly to achieve a new record in Formula One History to be the first ever driver to win 2 Drivers & Constructors Championships in his first 2 Seasons, but due to a lot of controversy, Beardmore was Disqualified from Abu Dhabi which gave Macleod the Championship Victory.

Beardmore found himself to have a successful start to the 2023 season with a victroy straight of the back 2022 at Bahrain. This year marked the new regulations which now take place every 4 years. He managed to lead the championship the whole entire season, although Macleod was making sure he didn't have it easy making sure to push him to his limits. Beardmore bagged himself 13 out of the possible 15 podiums. With 8 of them coming out with victories. This year also marked 15 years and over a decade since McLaren managed to win a Driver's Championship, which was last won by six time drivers champion himself Lewis Hamilton, but unfortunatley McLaren as a team slipped behind Ferrari to win the constructors alongside. Josh claimed three pole positions this season, alongside six fastest laps. It wasn't all happy as larry for Beardmore he recieved two DNF's this season. Beardmore's second DNF determined whether or not the drivers championship would be his, Macleod had to claim 2nd place in the final race to re-claim the drivers champinship, but former teammate Lewis Hamilton held Kyle up long enough so that he couldn't catch his former team-mate Vettel to win the champonship. The season ended with Beardmore two points ahead of Kyle equivalent to a fastest lap that made all the difference to take the championship from Kyle Macleod. Beardmore signed another contract with McLaren that kept him at the club going into 2024.

In the 2023-2024 season of Formula E, which was Joshua Beardmore’s debut in the racing series. He decided to carry on with following his manufacturer in Formula One by joining Mercedes-EQ. In Beardmore’s first ever race in Formula E he managed to take his first points in which he claimed 10th position in Abu Dhabi as well as achieving the Fastest Lap of the race. It was a very exciting start for Beardmore, and many faces were wondering if Beardmore can bring to the plate what he achieves in Formula One. Bearing in mind it is a very different atmosphere to what the driver was used to. But a great start for Beardmore. In the second race of Abu Dhabi was the true start to his Formula E career by picking up a Podium in his second ever race, finishing in second he also managed to pick up a Pole Position to go along with it. In fact throughout the whole season he managed to pick up 7 successful pole positions. After a great buzz and excitement around the team after their first weekend in Abu Dhabi, the could only look forward to Brazil, after a great start to the weekend in Brazil with Beardmore taking his second pole position, the race was where it was all at. The British driver crashed out. People believed the last two races were just flukes. Joshua after this race became very aware of this, and decide to head back to the Factory, and study for the next race. He found out it ain’t all glory in Formula E.

Mexico-Italy three successive podium streak came around, proving to show his worth in the championship which placed him back on top battling with Shane for Envision as well as his teammate Vandoorne. Beardmore managed to top his teammate three times in a row with the podiums he claimed, clinching at the final laps. To both drivers it was just friendly rivalry, which was very good for the sport in its first season. France came around, it was Vandoorne and Beardmore toe to toe battling with everything they had. Until the final lap where Vandoorne and Beardmore collided and sent Beardmore into a spin. Which costed him the Race Victory. This is what tipped Beardmore over the edge, as he found it disrespectful and un-sportsmanlike. In the backroom or the Garage, their was very much tension, which carried on throughout the season, the team were neutral, but both drivers weren’t. Their were many ups and down throughout the rest of the season, especially against other teams included the champion of the season Shane, his teammate Sam Bird, and the two Nissans. It came to the final two races. Shane, Beardmore & Vandoorne were the only drivers that could win the championship. In the first leg Beardmore could only Manage 8th due to the first corner barrage which sent beardmore off track down to the bottom of the grid, with Vandoorne finishing 2nd and Shane in 1st, this meant Beardmore needed to win the final race to win the Championship, but unfortunate couldn’t make the final hurdle. Shane finished 1st with his teammate finishing in front of him leaving Beardmore in 3rd.
