The 2020 FIA Formula One World Championship is a motor racing championship for Formula One cars which would be recognised by the governing body of international motorsport, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars. It is said to be the 71st Formula One World Championship and the 74th season of Formula One motor racing. Teams and drivers would be competing for the World Constructors' and World Drivers' championships. This is the 5th season of the ShaneEyoho Universe. The drivers championship was won by Kyle Macleod who won his first ever drivers championship, His teammate Josh Beardmore came 2nd only 6 points behind, whilst Red Bull's Shane Wray finished in 3rd, 41 points behind the leader and 35 behind Beardmore after a crash in Singapore put him out of title contention. Just like the 2018 and 2019 seasons the title wasn't officially decided until the final race which was the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In the World Constructors' Championship, Williams won their first constructors title since 1997 by winning the title at the 2020 United States Grand Prix. This would be their eighth constructors championship overall. Red Bull Racing finished 2nd after an impressive showing and constant points from 2016 Champion Shane Wray and team mate Daniel Ricciardo, whilst Reigning Champions Ferrari finished 3rd.
