The 2019 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season will be the 71st F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. And the second season in the ShaneEyoho Universe.

New Regulations[edit | edit source]

New Rules and Regulations were brought into the 2019 season one of them being the length of the Free Practice sessions on the Friday of each race weekend which were both 20 minutes long, they were decreased to 12 minutes after the team vote to save time and also make teams strategies vary. A Refuelling regulation, guaranteeing at least one pit stop for every rider a race to perform a bike swap (to make sure the riders used both bikes to the best of their ability) was declined by the FIM again after it was brought up in a team vote.

Michelin also supplied new specially grooved tyres for this season this would mean a harder style of tyres compared to the 2018 speculation but it would also reduce costs for the FIM by at least £20,000 a race whilst leaving strategy to be somewhat varied during a race weekend.

Teams and Riders[edit | edit source]

No teams and riders have confirmed where they will be for 2019.

Calendar[edit | edit source]

A Provisional Calendar was released before the 2018 San Marino and Rimini's Coast Grand Prix the said calendar is below with the official one announced to be confirmed before Pre Season starts so teams can still run simulations and get data on the tracks.

Calendar Changes[edit | edit source]

The British Grand Prix was scheduled to move from Silverstone to the new Circuit of Wales, but construction on the new track has not commenced. The two circuits reached a deal that will see Silverstone with an option to host the 2018 race, however the future of the race seems dim as the FIM and Silverstone were not able to reach a new deal so therefore the FIM opted to wait for the Circuit of Wales to be finished before reviving contract negotiations. This means that MotoGP is without a British Grand Prix for the foreseeable future.

The teams voted in the season about keeping the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez for 2019 onwards. If the vote is approved than the calendar for 2019 will be decreased to 17 races. The vote occurred at the press conference for the 2018 Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez on the Thursday before the race, the teams voted and when the voting was done it was decided that Jerez would stay as the host the Spanish Grand Prix for 2019 and future seasons.
